《湖北文史集粹》(邓剑秋、邱久钦主编)于新中国50华诞前夕问世了。这是省政协文史资料委员会及其办公室的同志们,也是各市(州)、县政协文史资料工作部门的同志们多年辛勤劳动的结晶,是对人民政协成立50周年、人民共和国成立50周年的献礼,也是对周恩来开创政协文史工作40周年的献礼。“存史、资政、团结、育人”这8个字,被用来概括政协文史工作和文史资料的功能,我认为这的确是十分精当的。作为一名从事中国近现代史研究的学者,多年来,我从政协文史资料中得益甚多。由于它是根据当事人、
