林兴胜,广东揭西人。1981年任中共汕头地委副书记,1983年8月任中共汕头市委书记。1993年任广东省政协副主席。在任汕头市委书记的十年里,正逢汕头经济特区初创、发展的关键时期,他大力推动汕头基础设施建设、引进外资、发展外向型经济,积极争取华侨投资、兴办家乡教育福利事业。最近,本刊主编王国梁三次访问了林兴胜,整理出这篇访问录,本期刊出他的访谈录,披露出当年创建汕头特区的一些内幕。本期予以刊出,以飨读者。
Lin Xingsheng, Guangdong Jiexi people. In 1981, he served as deputy secretary of Shantou Communist Party of China CPC Committee. In August 1983, he was secretary of CPC Shantou Municipal Party Committee. In 1993, he served as Vice Chairman of CPPCC Guangdong Province. During his tenure as secretary of the Shantou municipal party committee, coinciding with the initial stage of Shantou SEZs start-up and development, he vigorously pushed forward the construction of infrastructure in Shantou, introduced foreign capital, developed an outward-oriented economy, actively sought investment from overseas Chinese and set up his hometown education and welfare undertaking. Recently, our editor Wang Guoliang visited Lin Xingsheng three times and sorted out this visit record. This issue presents his interviews and reveals some of the inside stories of the establishment of the Shantou Special Administrative Region that year. This issue is published to readers.
