沙千里是革命的政治活动家,他联合青年之友社的同仁创立蚁社。蚁社是职业青年文化团体,后来成为有影响的抗日救亡团体之一。蚂蚁图书馆是蚁社最早成立的一个部门,它继承了上海通信图书馆的优良传统,借鉴了上海通信图书馆的办馆理念,借阅方式、方法。用蚂蚁垒山的精神白手起家办起图书馆,这是我国最早无条件将全部藏书公诸于社会大众的图书馆,在社会上产生很大影响。
Sha Senri was a revolutionary political activist who, in collaboration with his youth friends, founded ants.
