Objective To study the effects of modified sutures (modified group) and conventional sutures (traditional group) on the healing of abdominal wounds. Methods A total of 324 patients with gynecologic malignant tumor undergoing laparotomy in Department of Oncology, Affiliated Tumor Hospital, Zhengzhou University from January 2014 to December 2014 were selected as study subjects and were randomly divided into modified group and traditional group. Chi-square test or t Tests were compared between the two groups incision suture time and fat liquefaction, subcutaneous hemorrhage, infection, wound dehiscence and the difference between the incidence of the junction reaction. Results The wound healing time in the modified group was significantly lower than that in the conventional group (P = 0.032). The incidence of wound infection in the modified group was lower than that of the traditional group (P = 0.615) And the incidence of knot reaction were lower than the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P, respectively, 0.032,0.003,0.001). Conclusion Improved suture can shorten the operation time and reduce postoperative wound complications, which is a good way to suture.
