Canadian researchers recently pointed out that although the needle exchange program has achieved remarkable success in reducing needle sharing in Vancouver, new measures are needed to further reduce the risk of HIV infection and overdose. The researchers collected data from 776 injecting drug users in Vancouver and found that despite successful needle exchange programs, 27.6% of patients continue to share needles. In addition, there are other important dangerous behaviors, such as the repeated use of needles, injecting drugs in public, separate injections (an important risk factor for overdose), and difficulties in obtaining needles for disinfection. They believe that this should be achieved through the establishment of "security
