图书馆属于是公益性结构体系,其作用在于服务大众。随着社会的发展,人们生活水平的提高,对文化消费的需求也逐渐提高,而图书馆的作用也就日益凸显起来,因此,需要加强对图书馆的管理,适合大众的需求。新公共管理理论是在西方科技发展的环境下滋生、发展的,同时,对我国的公共部门管理也有着一定的推动作用,图书馆作为社会的公益文化机构和公共知识管理部门,应借鉴新公共管理理论来创新自身管理体系,从而提高自身的价值。
Libraries belong to the public welfare structural system, its role is to serve the public. With the development of the society, the improvement of people’s living standard and the demand for cultural consumption have gradually increased, and the role of the library has become increasingly prominent. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the management of the library and suit the needs of the general public. New Public Management Theory is breeding and developing in the environment of Western science and technology development. At the same time, it also plays a certain role in promoting the public sector management in our country. As a public welfare and cultural institution and public knowledge management department, libraries should learn from the new public Management theory to innovate its own management system, thereby enhancing their own value.
