In order to investigate the effect of drinking Epimedium concentrate on the deposition of some mineral elements in the liver and chest muscles of green-footed chickens, 400 two-week old green-footed chickens were randomly divided into 4 groups with 100 in each group. The control group, Epimedium The concentration of Epimedium in low concentration group, Epimedium concentration group and Epimedium high concentration group were 0 g / L, 0.5 g / L, 1 g / L, 2 g / L, respectively The period is 6 weeks. At the end of the experiment, eight chickens were randomly selected from each group. Blood samples were sacrificed and the contents of some mineral elements in liver and chest muscle were determined. The results showed that compared with the control group, the content of magnesium in the livers of chickens was significantly decreased (P <0.01), and the contents of magnesium and iron in chickens’ livers of each dose of Epimedium were lower (P <0.01). The contents of calcium in the liver of high zinc and Epimedium high concentration group were significantly increased (P <0.01). Among the iron, zinc and Epimedium in each dose of Epimedium, (P <0.01, P <0.05), while the content of P and P decreased significantly (P <0.01); the content of potassium decreased only in Epimedium high concentration group (P <0.05 ). It shows that Epimedium can significantly reduce the deposition of iron, magnesium and phosphorus in the liver of chicken and promote the deposition of zinc and calcium. At the same time, it promotes the deposition of iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium in the breast muscle and reduces the deposition of potassium and phosphorus.
