第4届国际材料力学性能学术会议将于1983年8月15—19日在瑞典斯德哥尔摩举行。会议目的是为工程师和材料科学家提供一个场合,共同探讨和解决当前一些工程问题。这两方面的专家往往各自在自己的领域中工作,彼此联系不多,他们聚会在一起,会增加相互间的了解和进行有意义的合作。 新的工程材料近几年来发展很快,由于材料的各向同性和均匀性的传统假设不再成立,在使用许多材料时,必须在数学模型和设计方法等方面寻求新的处理手段。当有目的地合成纤维增强材料时,或当材料在结构方面发生无法避免的缺陷时,就会出现材料的“新”性能,如同在断裂力学中所研究过的那样。在特殊条件如高温条件下,材料也同样可能发生这种情况。为了说明能体现上述问题重要性的某些工程方面的应用,会议选择讨论下面五个方面的内容:
The 4th International Symposium on Mechanical Properties of Materials will be held on 15-19 August 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden. The purpose of the conference is to provide an occasion for engineers and material scientists to discuss and solve some of the current engineering problems. Experts from both sides often work in their respective fields and have little contact with each other. They get together and increase mutual understanding and meaningful cooperation. New engineering materials have developed rapidly in recent years. As traditional assumptions about the isotropy and uniformity of materials are no longer valid, many materials must be used to find new ways of dealing with mathematical models and design methods. The “new” behavior of the material occurs when the fiber-reinforced material is intentionally synthesized, or when there is an unavoidable structural defect in the material, as has been studied in fracture mechanics. Under special conditions such as high temperature conditions, the material may also be the case. To illustrate some of the engineering aspects that underline the importance of the above issues, the conference chose to discuss the following five areas:
