一九八二年底到一九八六年初,我作为《人民日报》常驻记者在非洲生活了三年多。这期间,我们先后以坦桑尼亚和津巴布韦为基地,采访了东非、中非、南部非洲的十多个国家。如今,当我写下上面的题目时,多少黝黑亲切的面孔,多少醉人的异俗奇观,多少友情交织的往事,多少当记者的甘苦,一齐浮现脑际,涌上笔端。当我去非洲当记者时,非洲正遭受西方转嫁经济危机和严重旱灾的折磨,困难之大超出我的想象。以我们记者站所在地坦桑为例,它的农业逐年衰落,工厂开工率不足百分之三十,国民经济增长率连续几年
From the end of 1982 to the beginning of 1986, I lived in Africa for more than three years as the resident reporter of People’s Daily. During this period, we successively took Tanzania and Zimbabwe as bases to interview over a dozen countries in East Africa, Central Africa and southern Africa. Nowadays, when I write down the above questions, how many dark-skinned faces, how many intoxicating wonders and wonders, how many friendship interweaves, and how many journalists’ bitterness come together in my mind. When I went to Africa as a reporter, Africa was suffering from the Western economic crisis and severe drought. It was beyond my imagination.
