党的十四届四中全会结合我国正在进行的广泛而深刻的社会变革,作出了《关于加强党的建设几个重大问题的决定》,要求全党必须更好地坚持和健全民主集中制。这是在新的历史条件下充分实行党内民主,维护中央权威,保证党的路线方针政策全面正确地贯彻执行,党的任务和目标顺利实现的重大举措。
In conjunction with the extensive and profound social changes that are under way in our country, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party has made the “Decision on Several Important Issues concerning Strengthening the Party’s Construction,” demanding that all the party must better uphold and improve its democratic centralism. This is a major move that the full implementation of inner-Party democracy under the new historical conditions, the maintenance of central authority, the correct and complete implementation of the party’s line, principles, and policies, and the smooth fulfillment of the party’s tasks and goals.
