中国经过15年的艰苦谈判之后,已正式成为世贸组织成员。这标志着我国对外开放进入了一个崭新的阶段,也意味着我国对外开放经贸事业将面临着更多、更新的机遇和挑战。经济全球化是世界经济发展的客观趋势,谁也回避不了,都得参与进去。问题的关键是要辩证地看待这种全球化的趋势,这对于我们中国这样一个发展中国家尤为重要。我们既要充分地利用它提供的机遇与有利条件加快发展自己,又要清醒地认识和及时防范它可能带来的不利因素与风险。
After 15 years of arduous negotiations, China has officially become a WTO member. This indicates that our country has entered a brand-new stage of opening up to the outside world, and it also means that China will face more opportunities and challenges in opening up its economy and trade to the outside world. Economic globalization is an objective trend in the development of the world economy. No one can evade it and must participate in it. The crux of the matter is to look at this globalization trend dialectically, which is of particular importance to a developing country like ours. We must make full use of the opportunities and favorable conditions it offers to speed up the development of ourselves while at the same time, we should clearly understand and promptly guard against the possible unfavorable factors and risks it may bring.
