Palm-branch rattan is one of the most important economic plants in tropical and subtropical forests. There are about 600 species in the world and more than 40 species in our country. For a long time, people mostly focused on the use of cane as a knitted material for furniture and handicrafts, while the value of cane tender shoots (hereinafter referred to as cane shoots) was negligible. In fact, like most palm plant shoots, the stalk tips of vines are long known. People living in Hainan Island, Xishuangbanna, and mountainous areas in central Taiwan of Taiwan Province and mountain residents in Southeast Asia have long collected cane shoots for fresh vegetables or collected the fruits of some species of rattan for fruit consumption. In recent years, there have been small-scale cultivation farms mainly operating cane shoots in the central part of Taiwan Province to produce fresh shoots for sale. Cane shoots can be used as vegetables, its edible value and nutritional value? So far, at home and abroad have yet to see a special newspaper
