用理论分析证明了宽频带熔锥型单模光纤耦合器的原始模型,简化成有效平行波导的近似模型,必须作弱导近似和弱耦合近似。文中根据自制熔锥耦合器的实验,以及对其参数和截面尺寸测量及计算,表明具有哑铃形腰部横截面结构的宽频带熔锥型耦合器的组合波导满足弱导近似和弱耦近似条件。用有效平行波导的近似模型,计算耦合器转换功率随波长变化曲线,不仅宽频带特性的理论曲线与实验符合得较好,而且耦合器的耦合特性对两光纤芯径比及熔锥长度变化十分灵敏,这也与实验相符.
The theoretical analysis proves that the original model of a wide-band fused-cone single-mode fiber coupler simplifies the approximate model of an effective parallel waveguide and must be approximated as a weakly-approximated and weak-coupled approximation. According to the experiments of homemade molten cone couplers, and the measurement and calculation of their parameters and cross-sectional dimensions, it is shown that the combined waveguides of wideband fused-tapered couplers with dumbbell-shaped waist cross-section satisfy the weakly guided approximations and the weakly coupled approximations. Using the approximate model of the effective parallel waveguide, the conversion power versus wavelength of the coupler was calculated. The theoretical curves of the broadband characteristics were in good agreement with the experimental ones. Moreover, the coupling characteristics of the coupler varied greatly with the core- Sensitive, which is consistent with the experiment.
