Angew.Chem.Int.Ed.2015,54,879 ~ 882 Apocynaceae Pieris algae widely present in tropical regions of Africa and Asia, has become a well-known heterocyclic monosaccharide rich in unique monoterpene indole skeleton structure Alkaloids such alkaloids have attracted chemists considerable interest due to their interesting biological synthesis pathways and their significant physiological activities such as anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, cough and anti-malaria etc. Recently, Morita’s team from the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Pharmaceutical Sciences has isolated a new class of alkaloid structures from the respiratory root and leaf extracts of the genus Crocus grown in Malaysia and named it Alsmaphorazines A to E. In this family , Alsmaphorazines D and E have a novel hexahydropyrrolo [2,3-b] pyrrolizabicyclo [3.3.1] nonane core structure and contain in the molecule
