Uveitis is rare in patients over 50 years of age and most often affects people between 20 and 50 years of age. However, 20% of patients in a large group of patients with a uveitis in a medical center are over 50 years of age. To this end, the authors made a retrospective study of elderly patients who have been identified as intraocular inflammatory types. In 1,820 cases of uveitis, 337 (16%) were over 50 years of age, of whom 229 were melanitis and 108 were misdiagnosed as melanitis for other diseases. Of the 229 patients, 173 were 50 to 59 years old, 48 were 60 to 69 years old and only 8 were older than 70 years. Results: First, anterior uveitis: 85 patients had anterior section inflammation.
