在一台单缸、开式燃烷室、增压的试验柴油机上,测量了发火延迟和其他燃烧现象。报告中提出了发动机转速、燃料/空气比和充气压力的影响。试验结果表明,从喷射开始到出现火光所经过的时间比由于燃烧致使压力上升的时间长。如所预期的,测量出的着火延迟随转速的增高而缩短。但是气缸内空气温度是随着转速而变的,在对它作了校正后,则着火延迟随着转速的增高而延长。增加燃料/空气比,测量出的着火延迟缩短了。但是经过校正以后,着火延迟不受燃料/空气比的影响。烟度随着发动机转逑和燃料/空气比的增加而增加。
On a single cylinder, open combustor, pressurized test diesel engine, ignition delay and other combustion events were measured. The report addresses the effects of engine speed, fuel / air ratio and charge pressure. Test results show that the time from the start of the injection to the occurrence of the flare is longer than the pressure rise due to the combustion. As expected, the measured fire delay was reduced as the speed increased. However, the temperature of the air in the cylinder changes with the rotation speed, and after it is corrected, the ignition delay is prolonged as the rotation speed is increased. Increased fuel / air ratio, the measured ignition delay is shortened. However, after the correction, the ignition delay was not affected by the fuel / air ratio. Smoke levels increase as engine turns and fuel / air ratios increase.
