何谓“尖子生”?习惯上是指学习上表现突出,成绩优异的学生。可是,有这样一个故事或许能改变你的看法。盐湖城冬奥会期间,中国代表团到当地一家小学参观,代表团送给小学生们一对玩具小熊猫,并说明一只送给最优秀的男生,一只送给最优秀的女生!但当地小学校长认为,无法用统一的标准来衡量谁最优秀。因为他们中有数学最好的,有棒球最好的,有最爱讲笑话的,还有做义务工时间最长的。最后,校长把这两只熊猫放在学校的展览室里,分别写上:送给最优秀的男生们,送给最优秀的女生们。
What is “top student”? Traditionally refers to the study of outstanding performance, outstanding students. However, having such a story may change your opinion. During the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the Chinese delegation visited a local primary school and the delegation gave the pupils a pair of toy pandas, stating that one was given to the best boys and the other to the best girls! However, Primary school principals think that it is impossible to measure who is the best by a uniform standard. Because they have the best maths, the best baseball, the favorite jokes, and the longest volunteer time. Finally, the headmaster put the two pandas in the school’s exhibition hall and wrote them: The best boys to give to the best girls.
