10月24日,伟大的人民教育家陶行知先生的铜像在徐汇区东安二村小学新校区内隆重落成揭幕。东二小学自1988年开始试行以陶行知的教育思想指导教改实践,曾进行过“求真教育”的实践探索,取得了一定的成绩,在上海市和全国各地均产生了相当的影响。曾于1999年被中国陶行知研究会授予“推行陶行知教育思想,贯彻素质教育”先进集体称号。
On October 24, the bronze statue of Mr. Tao Xingzhi, great people’s educator, was unveiled in the new campus of Dong’an Ercun Elementary School in Xuhui District. East Second Primary School has been piloting the teaching reform practice with Tao Xingzhi’s educational thought since 1988 and has conducted practical exploration of “education of truthfulness”. Some achievements have been made and considerable impacts have been produced in Shanghai and throughout the country. Was in 1999 by China Tao Xingzhi Research Council awarded the “implementation of Tao Xingzhi education thinking, implementation of quality education” advanced collective title.
