At the end of 2004, the residual oil reserves in Croatia’s oilfield totaled 8.5 × 106m3. In addition, the rising oil price in the market boosted the application of the enhanced oil recovery method. After in-house CO2 injection experiments and modeling studies, the Ivanic field was selected as the first candidate to use this EOR method. In order to restore the Gamma reservoir pressure prior to the pilot pilot project, water injection started in 2001. According to the simulation research, the water-CO2 alternate injection process is carried out in 5 cycles. After installing pilot pilot project equipment at well Iva-28, CO2 injection started in November 2003 (the first cycle) and completed in May 2004. The second phase of the first cycle was waterflooding, which continued until November 2004 and completed in June 2005. The purpose of this paper is to describe the effects of two years after the alternating water-CO2 injection process and the vast amount of experience accumulated over this period.
