Since promulgation of the Measures for the Administration of the Law of the Public on the Purchase of Scrap Metals, the public security organs throughout the country have stepped up their management in accordance with the law, cracked down on theft of equipment and facilities of state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises and banned the illegal acquisition of sites, and has done a great deal of work and received remarkable results. However, in some places there are still some problems such as remediation efforts, over-acquisition of sites, collection and disposal of stolen goods, theft and other problems that undermine the success of metallurgy, oilfields, power plants, telecommunications, iron
