芦沟桥“七七”事变,揭开了日寇侵略我国的序幕。到“八·一三”,他们的魔爪又伸到了上海。在上海,我国军民奋起抗击,不惜牺牲,与虎狼般的兽军作了三个月猛烈战斗之后,不得已撤退了,上海成了“孤岛”。有一天,我在徐家汇附近,看见日本鬼子虐待我们中国老百姓,要我们同胞经过他们岗位时,行礼致敬,一不服从,就拳打脚踢,使我非常愤恨。回到寓所,就同住在楼下的著名生物学家朱冼讲:我决定进内地去打日本鬼子。我说:“是可忍孰不可忍!死了比活着还痛快些!”
