金沙江干热河谷地区以攀枝花市为中心地跨川、滇两省的仁和、米易、元谋、华坪等县的部份低丘地区,由于具有气温高,日照充足,霜期短而轻等优越的自然气候条件,为开发商品芒果生产较理想的地区。据1988年不完全统计,本区已引进芒果品种10多个,推广种植3万余株,一般植后3—4年便正常开花结果,而且产量高、品质好。为发展芒果生产提供了可靠的科学依据。

According to the incomplete statistics in 1988, more than 10 mango varieties have been introduced in this area. Over 30,000 mango varieties have been introduced. Normally, they will bloom normally after 3-4 years of planting, and their yield and quality are good. It provides a reliable scientific basis for the development of mango production.
