唐三彩是艺术百花苑中的一枝奇葩。其雄浑的造型、璀璨夺目的色彩、和谐美观的外表、富丽堂皇的气势、典雅厚重的内涵,展示了1000多年前大唐时代高度开放和高度文明的物质和精神世界,同时也显示了封建社会鼎盛时期陶瓷艺术的最高水平。女俑在唐三彩中占有较重比例,女俑的制作格外精美,多为体态婀娜、表情娴淑、丰面小口、仪态端庄。有伎乐女俑、侍女俑、女官俑、贵妇俑、后妃俑、骑马女俑、男装女俑、胡装女佣等。不同姿态、不同服饰、不同发髻、不同神情的女俑反映出不同阶层妇女的身份和地位,也反映了唐代开放的政治文明。
