叶挺(1896—1946)字希夷,广东惠阳人。青少年时期先后在广东陆军小学堂、保定军官学校学习。1919年军校毕业后,追随孙中山投入民主革命,先后任粤军第一支队副官,第一师参谋,工兵营长,孙中山大元帅府警卫团营长。1924年赴苏联莫斯科共产主义大学和红军学校中国班学习,同年加入中国共产主义青年团,12月转入中国共产党。1925年9月回国到广
Ye Ting (1896-1946) word Xi Yi, Huiyang, Guangdong. Adolescent period successively in Guangdong Army primary school, Baoding officer school.
