Pituitary adenoma is a common intracranial tumor, clinical symptoms mainly to occupy the effect and (or) endocrine disorders based. During the development of pituitary adenomas, various intracellular and intercellular signal pathways play an important role. MICA-NKG2D signaling pathway plays a major role in the esophageal immune surveillance of pituitary adenoma cells. The major histocompatibility complex class I molecular chain-associated protein A (MICA), as a ligand of natural killer cell family 2 D (NKG2D), binds specifically and activates natural killer cell-based immune effector cells , To play the role of immune surveillance. Targeted therapy based on MICA-NKG2D signaling pathway is expected to become a new treatment for pituitary adenoma.
