In this paper, Bonn approximation is used to solve the crosswell electromagnetic inversions in the frequency domain with integral equation (IE) formula. Since the inversion problem is non-linear, the electromagnetic field and Green’s function need to be modified continuously. This links small changes in the predicted data to changes in model parameters in the Frechet kernel. These wavefield and Green’s functions can be calculated using an efficient three-dimensional finite difference method. Because the resistivity along the strike is constant, the resistivity of the three-dimensional electromagnetic field along the strike is constant.
