北外公社,位于川西平原北部,气候温和(川西平原常年1月份平均温度多在5℃以上),无霜期为250-300天,土壤肥沃,有自流灌溉保证水源。但是,过去基本上是稻麦一年两熟,良好的自然条件没有得到充分利用。无产阶级文化大革命以来,我们努力改变生产条件,积极发展双季稻,并利用中稻收后小麦播种前的一段空隙增种一季短期饲料绿肥。但这就给小麦生产带来了一个延迟播种问题,小麦播种期要从以往的箱降前后推迟到立冬至小雪,甚至更晚。如何夺取迟播小麦高产,是关系到扩大复种,提高粮食产童的重要问题。针对这个问题,我们实行领导、群众、技术人员三结合,认真总结群众经验,大力开展群众性科学实验。经过几年努力,初步摸到了一些迟播高产的门路。1973年,全社双季稻发展到9,250亩,
Northern Commune, located in the northern part of western Sichuan Plain, mild climate (average annual temperature in western Sichuan Plain in January more than 5 ℃), frost-free period of 250-300 days, fertile soil, with gravity to ensure water supply.
