Objective To investigate the clinical effect of low-dose urokinase in patients with progressive stroke. Methods Eighty patients with progressive stroke who were admitted to our hospital from May 2009 to May 2011 were randomly divided into two groups. Forty patients in the control group were treated with low molecular weight heparin, 40 in the observation group were treated with low-dose urokinase, The clinical data of two groups were retrospectively analyzed. Results The SSS scores of both groups decreased after 2 weeks of treatment, but the decrease rate of observation group was higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The two groups of coagulation time, platelet count in the treatment before and after no significant change, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). The total effective rate was 90% in the observation group and 85% in the control group. No serious adverse reactions occurred in both groups, with no significant difference (P <0.05). Conclusion Patients with progressive stroke treated with low-dose urokinase can significantly improve neurological deficits, ensure the effectiveness of clinical treatment and improve the quality of life of patients.
