抚养是指父母从物质上、精神上对子女进行养育和照料,以保证其正常生长发育的需要,如负担子女的生活费、教育费,在生活上照管子女等。特殊情况下,也指祖父母、外祖父母对孙子女、外孙子女、成年兄姊对未成年弟妹生活上所给予的关心、帮助和照料。后两种情况下的抚养,有一定的适用条件,即祖父母、外祖父母有负担能力,且未成年的孙子女、外孙子女父母已死亡;兄姊有负担能力,父母已经死亡或无力抚养,弟妹
