1966年8月18日,在当时的中国,这个日子是一个令百万红卫兵“幸福得要昏过去”的盛大节日,它是所有红卫兵政治生命中的一个激动人心的生日。 首都和来自全国各地的百万红卫兵热切地仰望着天安门城楼,正期待着一个巨人的出现—— 等待,是从子夜开始的。 当浓重的黑幕正严严实实地覆盖着首都时,迫不及待的红卫兵已早早地进入了广场,等候神圣的检阅。这些少男少女们聚集在天安门广场,形成东西南北的人流大杂烩。
On August 18, 1966, in China at the time, this day was a grand occasion for the million Red Guards to “faint happiness.” It was an exciting birthday in the political life of all the Red Guards. The capital and the millions of Red Guards from all over the country looked eagerly at the watchtower of Tiananmen Square and are looking forward to the appearance of a giant - waiting, starting from the middle of the night. When the dark shadows were covering the capital in a serious manner, the impatient Red Guards had entered the square early for a sacred review. These boys and girls gathered in Tiananmen Square, forming a hodgepodge of people from north to south.
