健康元药业集团股份有限公司(以下简称健康元)创立于2003年9月29日,前身为太太药业股份有限公司,是一家创建于1992年12月18日的大型医药企业,于2001年在上海证券交易所成功上市。目前,健康元已经发展成为了一家业务范围涵盖处方药、OTC、保健品三大领域的专业化综合性制药企业,注册资金为6亿多元。2005年9月,健康元在深圳召开新闻发布会,董事长朱保国正式宣布进军直销业。
