For a long time, major companies in Japan have gone from product design to parts production, assembly, and sales. The entire process has been independently completed by the company. Although this “heavy equipment management” approach can lay a solid foundation for the company, it also puts the company itself under heavy load and risks from another point of view. It is easy to create friction with other national companies overseas. In order to avoid the occurrence of such problems, Japanese companies have changed their tactics in recent years and adopted “light equipment operations” to get rid of the stereotyped image of “integrated manufacturers” and OEMs have become a new business trend.
