五万居里铯室的防护设计

我所于1981年完成了从英国放化中心进口的铯源辐照室的建造安装工作,该铯源是一个直径52mm、长480mm的单一线状源,封装在双层不锈钢套壳内,套壳间充满氦气。与钻源相比,铯源具有半衰期较长(30年)、屏蔽方便、可从反应堆核燃料的废物中提取等优点。铯-137辐照室建成至今,运行正常,这套装置结构简单、安全可靠、操作和检修方便,它的使用,为我国生产、使用强铯源提供了有关科学依据。 In 1981, I completed the construction and installation of a cesium source irradiation room imported from the British Radiation Center. The cesium source was a single linear source with a diameter of 52mm and a length of 480mm. The cesium source was packaged in a double-layer stainless steel casing, The shell is full of helium. Cesium sources have the advantage of longer half-life (30 years), easier shielding and the ability to extract from reactor nuclear fuel waste than drilling sources. The construction of cesium-137 irradiation room has been completed till now and the operation is normal. The device has the advantages of simple structure, safe and reliable operation and convenient operation and maintenance. Its use provides the scientific basis for the production and use of strong cesium source in our country.
