“触变性”一词最早是由 Peterfi 所提出,其词意为一触就变,就是说在外切力作用下,体系的粘度下降、静止后又恢复。当时认为是在等温条件下,溶胶和凝胶相互可逆变换。实际上,这是一种具有时间因素的切稀现象。后来发现这种性质有很大实用价值,例如:钻井泥浆、油漆涂料等产品的优良性能均与此有关,可惜到目前为止对触变性的测定、评价方法仍未取得统一标准。
The word “thixotropy” was first proposed by Peterfi, whose meaning means one-touch change, that is to say, under the action of external force, the viscosity of the system drops and then rests when it is still. At that time, it was considered that under the isothermal condition, the sol and the gel were reversibly transformed with each other. In fact, this is a cut-thin phenomenon with time.
