“有偿新闻”现象的出现,不论是对党的新闻事业,还是对新闻队伍,都产生着极大的不良影响。首先,新闻由此会出现有悖真实、客观、公正原则,久而久之,将会极大地损害新闻事业的信誉。再者,“有偿新闻”的出现,对新闻队伍侵蚀更大。在金钱和物质利益的引诱下,许多人愿意当记者,不愿当编辑;不少记者、编辑忙于跑新闻发布会,不关心本职工作,不钻研业务;有的编辑、记者热衷于往富裕的地区和单位跑,不愿到贫困地区或“清水衙门”的单位去;在接待通讯员上,能给自己“好处”的就热情,就给发稿,反之就冷淡,就不给发稿;甚至造成个别记者、编辑唯利是图,胃口越来越大,公开向被采访单位索要钱财,甚至参与非法活动,走向犯罪的道路。其三,对通讯员产生着极大的侵蚀,助长了通讯员中靠拉关系、找门路刊稿的不良风气。其四、还造成记者、编辑之间的不正当竞争和不正常的猜疑
