This article examines the differences between the two in terms of their own differences in the mechanism of symbolic and metaphorical meanings. Symbolism points to abstract and universal spiritual meanings, and metaphor expresses a specific feature of the ontology by referring to a specific object. The symbolic existence of the thing itself makes sense.
