从先秦至清代,传统赋学理论源远流长。上世纪80年代初以来,赋学研究呈现出日益兴盛的局面,其中一个重要的方面就是对传统赋学理论进行整理和研究,以徐志啸《历代赋论辑要》、何新文《中国赋论史稿》为代表。学者们注重梳理传统赋学理论的发展脉络和各个阶段的不同特征,着力探讨赋的社会功用和体制特征,而对其中蕴含的叙事观念,却关注较少,甚至忽略了。兹拟从纷繁复杂的传统赋学理论中钩稽归纳出其鲜明的叙事观,概括言之,约有以下四端:
