随着社会经济的快速发展、城市化进程的快速推进以及机动化水平的迅速提高,兰州市的交通供需规模不断扩大,交通问题日趋复杂,交通发展与资源、环境的矛盾也不断加剧,逐渐成为制约城市进一步可持续发展的瓶颈。通过对兰州城市特色、城市用地布局、交通发展问题、交通需求等方面的深入分析,从体现兰州文化特色、展示兰州城市景观、提升兰州城市形象的视角,提出了具有兰州特色立体交通的发展策略。
