Japan’s Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd. announced recently that it has made TCP a wholly-owned subsidiary by acquiring the remaining 5% of Thai East Sea Carbon Products Co., Ltd. (TCP). It is reported that, TCP was originally a few Thai companies in 1989, a joint venture set up carbon black production and marketing enterprises. In 1990, Donghai Carbon reached a technology licensing agreement with TCP, acquiring a 25% stake in the latter. In 2000, Tokai Carbon made TCP its subsidiary and acquired 95% of its shares.
