人们在与人沟通交流时,想婉转的表达自己的想法,偶尔会使用一些模糊语来表达弦外之意,“醉翁之意不在酒”从而达到自己想要的效果。模糊语是一种弹性语言,似是而非,在确定性与不确定间徘徊。与含义清晰的语言相比,模糊语言在某些方面上占有优势,概括内容广,灵活性强。英语模糊语在英语使用中非常广泛,其表现形式千变万化。使用英语模糊语可以丰富情感,在与人交际时适当使用英语模糊语可以让谈话变得幽默有趣。本文从言语交际、文学作品两方面去分析英语模糊语的语用功能。
When people communicate with others, they want to convey their thoughts tactfully, and occasionally use some vague language to express the meaning outside the strings. Fuzzy language is a flexible language, plausible, between certainty and uncertainty hovering. Compared with the clear language, vague language has advantages in some aspects, which has wide range of contents and high flexibility. English vague language is widely used in English, its manifestations are ever-changing. Using English vague language can enrich emotions, and using English vague language properly in conversations with people can make conversation interesting and interesting. This essay analyzes the pragmatic function of English vague language from the aspects of verbal communication and literary works.
