There is an old saying in China: “Water can carry a boat and it can also overturn it.” Language can help people communicate, but if used improperly, it can also be an island of communication. In the same language, when the applied environment changes, the effect and obstacles encountered may be quite different. Therefore, I would rather believe that language has always been a key strategic issue for multinational corporations. The island of communication broken by language is actually a barrier to cross-cultural management.
