美国大学的书法课程,作为设置在艺术专业、东亚研究、或中国语言文学专业之下的二—三学分的正式选修课,还是一门历史不长,设置面不广的东方文化和视觉艺术课程。值得关注的是,几乎所有开设了这门课的大学,只要指导老师胜任并敬业,教学得法,都受到学生的欢迎与喜爱,各学科的学生登记选修书法课都十分热烈;完成这门课的美国学生,都会真诚地向书法课说“YES”。东方书法本身深厚丰富的“技”与“法”
The Calligraphy program at American universities, as a formal elective of two or three credits placed under the major of Arts, East Asian Studies, or Chinese Language and Literature, is also a long-established and underserved oriental culture and visual arts course . It is noteworthy that almost all the universities that have set up this course are welcome and loved by their students as long as their supervisors are competent, competent and well-teaching.
