The discovery of novel inhibitory cytokines and their biological functions will help to reveal the close relationship between antigen presenting cells and the immune system adaptive (ie immune tolerance) of the body. IL-35 (Interleukin-35) is a newly discovered unique immunosuppressive cytokine that belongs to the IL-12 family of cytokines and is mainly secreted by activated regulatory T cells. It targets a variety of immune cells and cytokines Have obvious inhibitory effect, participate in the formation of the body mediated immune tolerance. This review summarizes the structure, receptors, immunosuppressive effects of IL-35 and its relationship with the formation of immune tolerance in pregnancy.
