在我国实行全面改革、开放的形势下,随着新技术革命挑战的日益加剧,我国企、事业单位的管理者和领导者的队伍结构和人员素质发生了根本的变化,越来越多学有专长的知识分子走向管理岗位,担当起时代赋予的重任。但是,由于主客观条件的限制,这些管理者不可避免地遇到各种困难、挫折乃至失败。因此,如何帮助他们提高自己的管理水平、丰富自己的管理经验,顺利完成从科技人员到有效管理者的转变,已成为一个刻不容缓、亟待解决的问题。为此,我们组织编译了《工程师和科学家的有效管理》一书,采取分期选载的形式,供广大管理干部学习、参考。本期选登了《工程师和科学家持续工作的动力是什么?》这一章。本书是专门写给工程师和科学家的管理者的,在美国和加拿大出版后颇受欢迎。作者菜昂·沃特曼是美国著名管理专家。他在广泛积累美国各大公司经验和素材的基础上,应用心理学、行为科学、现代科学管理的主要原理和方法,详尽而有创见地论述和分析了如何完成从专业人员到管理者的转变,如何对工程师和科学家这类有创造性思维能力的人才进行最为有效的管理和控制,以最大限度地发挥他们的智力和精力。本书思想深刻、观点新颖,注重实用性。尤其适合我国广大科技管理干部和有关领导阅读,从中可以得到有益的借鉴和启发。 Under the implementation of comprehensive reform, opening up the situation in our country, with the increasing challenges of the new technology revolution, I state-owned enterprises, team structure and personnel managers and leaders of public institutions has been a fundamental change, there are more and more school Specialized intellectuals move into management posts and assume the responsibility assigned to them by the times.
