During the Spring Festival this year, Cantonese opera artists in Guangzhou launched a “Cantonese Opera Symphony Concert” that sparked a debate about how to orientate and evaluate Cantonese opera symphonic music appropriately. Read a group of articles published in the third issue of “Red Bean of the South” in 2002 on the symphony of Cantonese opera, inspired, also want to talk about. In my opinion, it is necessary to reform Cantonese opera accompaniment music. It is helpful to try accompaniment of Cantonese opera with symphonic music, but the reform should be based on preserving the artistic features of Cantonese opera. I would like to comment on the articles of several experts published in the journal. 1. Comrade Kong Qingyan’s article entitled “A Quality Art Appreciated to the People of Modern Times” has a relatively high degree of standpoint, standing high and naturally far. It is also better able to accommodate more words of praise. Kong Wen said that the recently introduced “Cantonese Opera Symphony Concert” is the product of combining Western multi-pronged thinking and harmony systems with traditional Chinese music and thus has new and special charm. Cantonese opera as a standard to evaluate and measure its success or not, and therefore can not be regarded as her simple symphony accompaniment of Cantonese opera. After reading readily, because I turned out to be her as a symphony accompaniment of Cantonese opera. Now it is time to give her a new position and rethink many problems. I really want to thank Old Confucius for giving me inspiration. But at the same time, I also saw Professor Gao Wei-jie from the Chinese Conservatory of Music in Beijing think that the Cantonese opera symphony music we are now seeing is still in its infancy. Basically, symphony music is a contrast to Cantonese opera accompaniment and is packaged with you. “The Chinese wear suits, but the suits are worn, not the same as you become a foreigner. ” So I wonder, give
