满族人有着深厚的传统信仰和民族感情。每逢重大的年节活动,都要举行祭祖仪式,黑龙江的满族人俗称祭“祖宗板”和“子孙绳”。满族居室当中的西墙,是供奉家谱和祖先神位的地方。因此,西侧的炕面较窄,多放有柜箱,是不许人随便坐卧的。柜箱上面摆有花瓶、水具,也不许乱放东西。每逢年节来临时,西炕柜箱上面则供奉香火、酒菜。由一家之长洗手焚香后,从西墙上方的“祖宗板”上捧下家谱谱匣,俗称“请谱”。然后将谱单挂起,让家人瞻看,俗称“晾谱”。家人按辈份先后排列,向族谱和家谱奉香祭拜,
