印度与我国相邻,同是世界上两个最大的发展中国家,发展状况也十分相似,目前都在实行改革开放政策。两国经济的发展速度,科技文化达到的水平,出口产品在国际市场的竞争力都是国内外有关人士和世界经济专家关注的。经过十多年来的努力,印度皮革工业正在迅速壮大,已由过去的乡村家庭手工业发展成为目前印度的主要产业之一,出口创汇名次在国内各行业中位居前列。尽管在前进的道路上会遇到各种障碍,但从远景上看,该工业极具发展潜力。
Adjacent to China and the two largest developing countries in the world, India has a very similar development situation. At present, India is implementing the policy of reform and opening up. The speed of economic development, the level of science and technology and the competitiveness of export products in the international market are the concerns of both domestic and foreign stakeholders and world economic experts. After more than a decade of hard work, India’s leather industry is rapidly growing. It has grown from past family handicrafts in the country to become one of the major industries in India at present. Its foreign exchange earnings rank among the top in China. Although obstacles are encountered on the road to progress, from a long-term perspective, the industry has great potential for development.
