生理学实验中常用音叉的频率多为100次/秒,有以机械方法使之震动者,有用直流电通过断续装置使之震动者。后者在使用上远较普通音叉为方便,但因音叉的质料、长短、厚薄以及附加在上面的断续装置都会引起频率的改变,所以要制造一频率准确的音叉比较不易。为此特介绍交流电音叉以供参考。我国电厂除个别地方外,发电频率均为50周/秒,因此交流电通入电磁铁吸引任何未磁化的震动体所得之机械震动频率,势必二倍于50周/秒(即100周/秒),此频率正为生理学实验所需,故可利用。
