人到中年,由于各脏器官的功能逐渐减退,各种物质代谢趋于衰减,因此,“病机四优”。为此,提出中年“五戒”。一、戒懒惰人到中年,开始发现两腿沉重,易疲劳。因此,要勤于活动,不仅可以强身防病,而且可以延年益寿。不爱活动者的心脏比经常运动者要早衰10~15年。运动可以增强体质,降低血压和胆固醇含量,能减少心脏病发作的危险,提高体内的免疫功能。人到中年应力戒懒惰,参加一些力所能及的体育运动和健身活动,如慢跑、散步、爬山、打拳、做操、练气功等。
