历史上绍兴涌现了许多大书家,且多为奇才,像明代的徐渭,清代的赵之谦,近代的徐生翁等。此次在中国美术馆举办书法个展的沈定庵先生就是现代绍兴书坛的代表人物之一,虽已年届古稀,仍担任绍兴市书协主席、兰亭书会会长等职务,为振兴民族文化,奖掖后学而默默奉献着。他那极具个人面目的隶书,以独特的创意与审美表现,为当代书坛增添了一抹厚重的亮色。
